Rangpur cable TV operator's right forearm cut off
The right forearm of a cable TV operator was chopped off allegedly by his business rivals in Rangpur city on Wednesday night.
Enamul Haque Pichu, 26, of the city's Rampura, was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.
Police said three people riding on a motorcycle attacked him with sharp weapons while he was standing in front of his house.
Md Abdul Quader Jilani, officer-in-charge of Rangpur Kotwali Police Station, said Enamul was a charge sheeted accused in a case filed for killing Ratan Mian, another cable operator, in the area on 22 October, 2013.
Enamul's rivals might have attacked him, the OC said, adding that they were trying to arrest the culprits.
His father Abdul Halim filed a case accusing some unnamed persons.
