Police recover body of 13-year-old house help in Dhaka’s Banani

Police recovered the body of a 13-year-old house help from her employer's house in Dhaka's Banani area this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Liza, from Kamlakanda upazila in Netrokona district.

Noor-E-Azam Mia, officer-in-charge of Banani Police Station, said the girl was employed at the flat of one Delwar Hossain three months back.

Police recovered the body from a room of the flat around 12:15pm after the family informed that she "killed herself by hanging from ceiling fan with a scarf".

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the cause of death, the OC said.
