Wrong Questions in SSC Exams

Parents in Dhamrai demand full marks

Over hundred people, mostly comprising of the guardians of the students of Dhamrai Hardinge High School, who were provided with wrong questions during the SSC examinations on February 18, formed a human chain yesterday at Dhamrai upazila complex, demanding full marks in the examination for the students and exemplary punishment for the accused teachers and officials.

"Students went to the Abdus Sobhan Model High School centre for Business Entrepreneurship examination…On-duty teachers handed them the 2014 question papers," said Shahanara Begum, mother of a student Tania Akter.

At least 71 students became victims of the incident.

Md Zakir Hossain, secondary education officer of Dhamrai upazila confirmed the incident and said they have already suspended ten teachers and an official from their exam duties. "The education control board will take a decision soon," he added.

Students alleged they are under serious mental pressure following the incident, which is also effecting other examinations. "Why will we suffer for their mistake?" said Ikra Al Bina Haque, a victim student.
