Order 'no confidence' petition in 7-murder case July 8

A court yesterday fixed July 8 to pass an order on the no confidence petition filed against the charge sheet submitted by the detectives dropping the names of five accused in the Narayanganj seven-murder case.

Selina Islam, wife of Narayanganj City Corporation councillor Nazrul Islam who was one of the victims, rejected the charge sheet on May 11 against 35 people.

In April last year, seven people were abducted and their bodies were later recovered from the Shitalakkhya river.

In the charge sheet, Awami League leader Nur Hossain was made as the prime accused. Twenty-five members of Rapid Action Battalion, including ex-top officials Tareque Sayeed Mohammad, Arif Hossain and SM Masud Rana, were also made the accused.
