One body recovered from Bongshi River
Police yesterday recovered the body of a college student, who was killed after abduction three days ago, from the river Bongshi in Savar outside the capital.
Md Monir Hosen, 22, son of Porash Ali of Manikganj, was a student of Khan Bahadur Awlad Hosen College in the district.
On information from the abductors, who confessed to the crimes after arrest, police with the help of fire service recovered the body from the river in Harindhara, said Nasir Uddin, sub-inspector of Savar Model Police Station.
"Three stones were tied to the victim's legs, neck and wrist," he said.
Akter, Badsha, Monowar, Lal Miah, Shukur and Azgor were arrested in this regard in Dhaka and Manikganj on Friday.
On Thursday, Badsha took Monir from Manikganj to Savar in the name of giving him a job, said the SI.
Later, his body was dumped into the river after killing him, said Savar police.
Meanwhile, the body of another college student Munsher Ali Munna of Savar, who was killed allegedly by the gang in the same way, could not be recovered till last evening.
