Mobile court starts drive against unfit vehicles

The mobile court yesterday filed cases against 50 unfit vehicles and realised Tk 20,000 from their drivers and owners as fine.

Unfit vehicles often break down on busy highways and create traffic congestion, said Fahmi Mohammad Sayef, executive magistrate.

Around 500 cops, and community police members will also be deployed on the highway, which is a gateway to 26 districts, on July 16 to keep vehicular movement smooth.
