Mobile court drive at old Dhaka polythene factory; 10 detained

A mobile court is conducting a drive at an unauthorised polythene factory in old Dhaka's Debidas Lane area this morning and detained at least 10 persons so far.

The factory has been producing polythene illegally, said executive magistrate Palash Kumar Bosu, who led the drive.

The drive started early morning and is still going on, he said.

During the drive, assisted by Rab and Department of Environment (DoE), several trucks of polythene were seized, Palash said, adding they would take further action after the drive.
