Jhut godown, six houses gutted in Gazipur

Fire gutted six tin-roofed houses and a jhut (scrap of fabrics from garment industries) godown in Bororbari Targas of Gazipur city yesterday.

Fire Service officials said the fire started around 12:30am at the godown and spread to the adjacent houses.

Fire fighters doused the fire around 4:00am. They however, could not find the reason behind the fire and estimate the extent of loss.
