Illegal Savar gas pipelines snapped

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd disconnected illegal gas pipeline at Harindhara of Hemayetpur in Savar, outside the capital, yesterday.

A team led by Zubair, assistant commissioner (land) and executive magistrate of Savar, conducted a drive and found 1,500 feet illegal pipelines in three spots.

Miscreants set the pipeline at night in exchange of money, he said. 

Over the last four months Titas Gas suspended the licenses of 32 contractors for their involvement in illegal pipeline installation, said an official of Savar zone.
