Hizb-ut man Sharful placed on remand

A Chittagong court placed banned militant outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir activist Sharful Awaal on a three-day remand yesterday.

He was arrested from his rented house in the city with some books and CDs containing anti-state lectures and contents on May 8. Police suspected that he has links with foreign terrorist organisations.
