Hatirjheel area gets bus service

The first bus service for Hatirjheel area was launched yesterday with a view to helping visitors take a trip around the project as well as to facilitate the daily journeys of the residents of the nearby areas.

The service will be available from 7:00am to 11:00pm every day.

Initially four buses, each with the capacity to accommodate 27 persons, will travel through Mohanagar, Madhubagh Rampura, Moghbazar, Begunbari-Kunipara, Gulshan Aarong-police plaza and Merul Badda, starting from Rampura Bridge. A round trip will cost Tk 30 while fare for Rampura Bridge to Viaduct is Tk 15.

Housing and Public Works Minister Mosharraf Hossain inaugurated the service yesterday.
