Goldsmith shot, robbed in Old Dhaka

Miscreants last night shot a goldsmith and snatched his shopping bag carrying gold in Old Dhaka, said police.

With injuries in the left leg, Gourango Ghosh, 60, was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Muntasirul Islam, deputy commissioner (media and publication) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

Gourango was returning home from his Shankharibazar jewellery shop. Police caught one of the miscreants, Asif, 25, with a pistol and six rounds of bullet.
