Girl 'commits suicide' in Tongi

A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in Morkun area of Tongi, outside the capital, yesterday.

The deceased Laboni Akter, 16, daughter of Abul Kalam, might have killed herself following a love affair with a local youth, said Sub-inspector of Tongi Police Station Abdul Malek Khosru. The body was sent to Gazipur Shahid Taz Uddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
