Gazipur mayor in Birdem from jail

Gazipur city Mayor MA Mannan was shifted to Birdem hospital in the capital from Kashimpur jail-1 yesterday following fluctuations in his blood pressure.

Mannan, an adviser to BNP chief, has been in jail since his arrest on February 8 from his Baridhara residence in Dhaka.

Earlier, Mannan was shown arrested in eight cases including arson cases, said his counsel Monjur Morshed.
