Four `robbers' arrested in Ctg

Police arrested four alleged robbers from a char in the Bay of Bengal under Banshkhali upazila in Chittagong yesterday.

The arrestees are Md Rashid, 30, Md Shahin, 25, Md Shukkur, 25, and Hekab Miah, 24, said Swapan Kumar Majumber, officer-in-charge of Banshkhali police.

Rashid and Shukkur were accused in two robbery cases, said the OC, adding that the arrestees admitted they used to "kidnap" fishermen for ransom and "loot" their valuables.
