Five robbers arrested with looted gold in Sylhet

Five members of an inter-district robber gang were arrested with 50 tolas of gold in Modhu Shaheed area of Sylhet city early yesterday.

The arrestees are Sohel Ahmed, Juber Khan, Nur Uddin, Krisna Debnath, and Rekha Begum. Of them, Nur Uddin and Krisna are wanted in several robbery cases, said Additional Police Super of Sylhet Nurul Islam.

On information, police arrested them while they were taking preparation to commit a robbery, said the ASP.

Several mobile phones, some materials, used for conducting robbery, were also recovered from their possession, he added.
