Fire breaks out at Meher tower

Fire broke out in a ceramic and electric ware office on the eighth floor of a 15-storey building, Meher tower, in CR Dutta road near Hatirpool last night.

Several units of fire service worked simultaneously to control the fire, which originated from a gas stove or an electric short circuit, caused damages worth Tk 20 lakh, suspects fire service officials.
