Falling tree branch kills Ctg man

An elderly man died after a branch of a tree fell on him in Banshkhali upazila of Chittagong yesterday.

The deceased Md Islam, 65, of Jangal Napora, had sold the tree for collecting money for his daughter's wedding, said Officer-in-Charge of Banshkhali Police Station Swapan Kumar Majumder quoting locals.

Islam was going to a nearby pond when the tree branch fell on him while it was being chopped off, said the OC.

Locals rushed him to a local health complex where doctors declared him dead.
