Ecnec approves Tk 319cr project for DNCC development

Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) has approved a Tk 319 crore-project for the development of Dhaka North City Corporation.

The project got the approval at the Ecnec meeting at NEC conference room today, with Prime Minister and Ecnec Chairperson Sheikh Haisna in the chair.

Sheikh Hasina joined the meeting through videoconference from her official residence Gono Bhaban.

Today, the meeting approved three projects, including road safety and traffic infrastructure of DNCC area, proposed by Local Government and Rural Cooperatives Ministry at a cost of Tk 5,189.69 crore.

Of the total, Tk 2,855.08 crore will be government funded, Tk 63.85 crore will come from local funds and Tk 2,270.76 crore foreign loans.
