CU shuttle train engine catches fire

The engine of a shuttle train of Chittagong University yesterday afternoon caught fire as it overheated at Sholoshahar Railway Station. No casualty was reported.

However, a scheduled train from the university to the city was delayed following the incident.

Three units from Agrabad, Chandanpura and Bayzid fire stations doused the blaze in 20 minutes, said Md Shahabuddin, the station master.

He, however, could not estimate the loss.
