CU refutes allegations against VC

The Chittagong University authorities yesterday issued a written statement, trashing the allegation that Vice Chancellor Prof Anwarul Azim Arif is a fake freedom fighter.

On Monday, under the banner of Muktijoddha Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad (MOSP), a faction of freedom fighters of Chittagong city accused the VC of being a fake freedom fighter, nepotism in recruitment, and of patronising Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir. Chittagong University Teachers' Association also protested the allegations.
