Court summons last IO
A Dhaka court has summoned the last investigation officer of the blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider murder case to appear before it today to explain what he found in his investigation.
After completion of the cross-examination of DB Inspector Md mainul Haque, the second IO, Judge Syed Ahmed of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-3 passed the order on Sunday.
Court sources said DB Inspector Nibaron Chandra Barman will appear before it today.
Earlier, the court recorded statements of 34 prosecution witnesses, including complainant of the case.
Rajib, an activist of the Shahbagh movement demanding death penalty for war criminals, was hacked to death in the capital's Pallabi area on February 15, 2013.
DB had earlier pressed charges against eight leaders and activists of the banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team.
