Bicycle rally held to protect Surma

Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (Bapa) and Surma River Waterkeeper yesterday brought out a cycle rally at Chandnighat on the Surma riverbank in Sylhet to increase awareness among people of protecting the river from environmental pollutions and soil erosion.Starting from Aliamjad Ghari, the rally reached the riverbank through Technical School Road, Muktijudha Chattar and Humaiyun Rashid Chatter.
Environmentalists, students and teachers participated in the rally.
