Barking deer dies at Ctg Zoo

A male barking deer died at Chittagong Zoo yesterday, hours after it had been injured in a fight with another deer.

Veterinary surgeon of the zoo, Shahadat Hossain, said the deer received injuries in its leg and back by the sharp horns of the other in the fight on Tuesday.

During the breeding season of June-July fighting among the male deer is a common phenomenon, he added.
