Bangladesh, Thailand to discuss public health co-op today
A 10-member delegation from the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand arrived in the capital yesterday to join the first meeting of Bangladesh-Thailand Joint Working Group (JWG) on health services to be held in the city today.
The delegation led by Jirot Sindhvananda, senior advisor of International Medicine of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, will hold meeting with the health ministry officials today to identify and discuss issues of cooperation in health-related trade and services.
Biman Kumar Saha, additional secretary to the ministry of health and family welfare, will lead the Bangladesh delegation.
The meeting comes as preparatory to the proposed 4th meeting of the Bangladesh-Thailand Joint Trade Committee to be held in Dhaka in the second half of this year.
The delegation is also scheduled to visit hospitals and pharmaceutical industries in Dhaka and Tongi to inspect the services and production process.
