Bangladesh safest for foreigners

Opposition Leader and Jatiya Party presidium member Raushan Ershad last night told parliament that Bangladesh was the world's safest country for foreigners for they were respected and provided security.

Pointing at related killings in Bangladesh, she said, "People are killed in the USA like birds, but people do not feel insecure there...no red alert is issued...why did they feel insecure in our country?"

Lauding her, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Raushan pointed out many important issues which would help many ministers be cautious in discharging duties.
