Auto-rickshaw drivers protest mobile court

Leaders of Dhaka Four-stroke Auto-rickshaw (CNG) Drivers Union staged a demonstration in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the capital yesterday, protesting random towing of their vehicles by mobile courts.

The CNG-run auto-rickshaw drivers alleged they have randomly been fined and jailed by the mobile courts for over the last several months.

They also urged the government for immediate release of the drivers who have already been sent to jail by mobile courts and withdrawal of cases filed against them.
