Ashulia RMG factory closes sine die amid workers' demonstrations

Fashion Craft Knitwear Ltd was closed yesterday for an indefinite period at Ashulia, outside the capital, amid its workers' demonstration for a yearly increment of 15 percent and payment of monthly salary in first seven working days of every month.

The workers have been observing work abstention for last two days for their demands including earn leave benefits, maternity leave, and reemployment of the workers who were sacked on Sunday on different allegations.

Additional police have been deployed in Zamgora area. Officials of the management could not be contacted for comments.
