Appeal for help

Md Liton, 39, an egg seller in Dhaka, has been suffering from haemophilia A, a bleeding disorder caused by deficiency of clotting factor, since his childhood.

He has to receive blood at least three times a month. Moreover, he fractured his right leg in a road accident four years ago and had to spend Tk 5 lakh for the treatment. Recently, infection and swelling on the fractured point of the leg has been diagnosed.

A Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University doctor advised that he should undergo a surgery on the leg with extra care, which will cost Tk 3.5 lakh.
