All urged to clean Dhaka city
Joining the garbage cleaning campaign of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), lawmaker Saber Hossain Chowdhury yesterday urged all to be involved in garbage management activities.
"It is not possible for the mayor alone to keep the city clean," said Saber at an awareness building programme at Khilgaon Girls School and College in Dhaka.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon requested all to keep their garbage in a particular place after 7:00pm so that it could be dumped at a certain place. He said to keep the city clean, everyone would have to play the role of a mayor.
He urged everyone to come from their respective places for one hour on February 14, "Valentine's Day", and show love for their city by helping to clean the city.
