An accused in a Yaba peddling case allegedly went missing from a Chittagong court before delivery of a verdict yesterday.

Bashir Ahmed, who was on bail, was present in the morning but not found in the afternoon, said court sources. The court showed him fugitive and sentenced him to five-year in jail. Police seized 140 Yaba tablets from Bashir's possession in the city's New Market area on September 5, 2009.
