Abducted man rescued in Ctg

Detectives rescued a man early yesterday from Ambagan area of Chittagong city, a day after he was abducted.

Police said Syed Shawkatul Islam, 40, of Uttar Agrabad area of the city, was abducted after he left home for office around 10:00am on Tuesday.

The abductors demanded Tk 20,000 as ransom over the phone from the family

Police said when they went to the spot with the family members the abductors fled the scene leaving Shawkatul.
