9 Shibir men held with crude bombs

Police arrested nine activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, the pro-Jamaat students' platform, from a graveyard while holding a secret meeting in Meherpur district yesterday and recovered six crude bombs and some publications.

Iqbal Bahar Choudhury, officer-in-charge of Meherpur Sadar police said the men gathered inside the Govipur graveyard to plan subversive activities. On information, police raided around 4:30am and arrested them. 

Filing of a case is underway, the OC said.
