72 held with Yaba pills, liquor in Ctg

Police in separate drives in different upazilas arrested 72 people, including a Jamaat activist, for their alleged involvement in subversive activities in Chittagong on Friday night.

Abdul Awal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of the district, said police also recovered 130 pieces of Yaba tablets and 53 litres of local liquor during the drives.

The detainees also include 63 arrest warrantees and eight accused in regular cases, he added.
