7,000 litres of smuggled petrol seized, 3 held in Jamalpur

Police seized a tank-lorry carrying 7,000 litres of smuggled petrol and arrested three persons in this connection at  Gudashimla Bazar in Jamalpur Sadar upazila yesterday.

They are Sanuar Hossain, owner of Chhua Enterprise, his employee Rubel Miah, and the lorry's driver Zia Sarkar, of Shahjadpur in Sirajganj.

Abdul Awal, officer-in-charge of Jamalpur Sadar police, said, "Police arrested them as they failed to show any purchasing document." A case was lodged in this connection.
