6 pharmacies, fake doctor, 15 vessels fined in Ctg

A mobile court of the Chittagong District Administration fined six pharmacies and a fake doctor Tk 1.75 lakh in Chittagong city yesterday.

Kamal Pharmacy, Promi Pharmacy, Mohammadia Medical Hall in Kunjachhaya Residential area and SB Madina Pharmacy, Huq Pharmacy, Janani Medical Hall in Aturar Depot area were fined Tk 75,000 on different charges including not having license and selling unauthorised and government medicines.

The court also fined a fake doctor, Mohammad Islam, Tk 1 lakh in Aturar Depot.   

Meanwhile, the Chittagong Port Authority fined 15 vessels Tk 4 lakh in port channel on different charges including creating hindrance in the channel, not having certificates of master and not keeping safety equipments.
