3 food shops, pharmacy fined

A Chittagong mobile court yesterday fined four shops a total of Tk 2.10 lakh for preparing food in unhygienic condition, with substandard ingredients and selling expired items.

The court fined Dayamoyee Mistayna Bhandar in Nandankanan area Tk 1 lakh, Sadhu Mistayna Bhandar in Kotwali Moor Tk 50,000 and Hotel Nizam in New Market area Tk 50,000.

In Sirazuddoula area, the court fined Panjab Pharmacy Tk 10,000 for selling expired medicines.
