27 spotted deer rescued in N'ganj

Rapid Action Battalion rescued 27 spotted deer in Taltola area of Bandar upazila in Narayanganj yesterday.

During a three-hour drive, Rab found 21 deer at the house of one Masum Sheikh, and six others at the residence of another Imdad Hossain, said Alet Uddin, company commander of Rab-11.

A mobile court accompanying the Rab team fined Masum's brother Tk 2 lakh and Imdad Tk 1.5 lakh.

Later, the deer were handed over to the forest department officials.
