2 held with counterfeit notes in Barisal

Police arrested two people with 27 counterfeit notes worth Tk 14,000 in Barisal city's Launch Ghat area on Friday.

The arrestees are Sarwar Hossain, 20, and Arif Hawlader, 19.

Nani Buri Police Camp Assistant Sub-inspector Nayeem said Sarwar and Arif gave some of the notes to the manager of a restaurant in the area after having some food items.

On suspicion, the restaurant owner informed police of the matter.
