17.1 lakh shrimp fry seized in Ctg

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard seized around 17.1 lakh shrimp fry worth Tk 34.2 lakh from Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway in Moizzartek area of Patiya upazila in Chittagong yesterday.
On information, they seized the shrimp fry from a truck around 5:00am and detained the driver and helper.
Coast Guard members said they were carrying the fry to Bagerhat from Cox's Bazar. The fry were released in the Karnaphuli river.
