14 illegal brick kilns fined, 12,000 CFT timber seized

A mobile court of the Chittagong district administration in Rangunia upazila of Chittagong yesterday fined 14 brick kilns Tk 4.2 lakh for running their operation illegally and burning timber as fuel.

The court also seized 12,000 cubic feet of timber from the kilns.

The court led by Executive Magistrate Tamim al Yamin conducted the drive in Ranirhat area of the upazila.
