14 billboards, 6 mini poles pulled down

A mobile court of Chittagong City Corporation pulled down nine illegal billboards and six mini-poles and fined six billboard owners Tk 30,000 in Jamal Khan area of Chittagong city yesterday.

In Dewan Hat and Tiger Pass areas, Chittagong district administration pulled down five more billboards.

However the billboard owners claimed their billboards as legal showing some documents signed by CCC officials. Meanwhile, CCC's Executive Magistrate Nazia Shirin said some CCC officials are involved with this process of installing illegal billboard.
