Khaleda will appear before Dhaka courts today
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will appear before different Dhaka courts today in connection with 12 cases filed against her.
Khaleda will reach the court premises at 10:30am today, Sanaullah Mia, a lawyer for Khaleda, told The Daily Star yesterday.
Of the lawsuits, nine were filed for arson attacks in Darussalam area, and the three others for sedition and Niko and Barapukuria coalmine graft cases.
Early last month four courts asked her to appear before them today.
The Niko graft case is pending with the Special Judge Court-9 and the Barapukuria coalmine graft case with the Special Judge Court-2.
The sedition and arson cases filed with Darussalam police against Khaleda are pending with the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court of Dhaka.
