2 hurt as fire breaks out at Banani house

Two people suffered burn injuries in a fire that broke out at a multi-storey building in Dhaka's Banani area today.

Injured Sagar, 25, and Himel, 19, have been admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), said Foysalur Rahman, senior station officer of Tejgaon Fire Service and Civil Defense Station.

The fire broke out around 8:30am on the 2nd floor of the building where accessories used to supply cable connection were stored, he said.

Sagar sustained 65 per cent burn injuries while Himel 15 per cent, the fire brigade official added.
