To mark the 24th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chatra Kallyan Trust, DIU hosted the 3rd International Education Conference on "Education for World Peace" between January 18 and 19.

The award giving ceremony of the 6th RIoT National Creative Challenge was held on January 14, 2025, at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) auditorium.

A plastic recycling project of a multinational student team, whose three members are from BRAC University, has been awarded the first prize of USD 1,500 at the international pitch competition, “Launch a Different World 2024”.
