Using R600a Gas (Refrigerant) reduces Electricity Consumption by 50%
To reduce this pressure of extra electricity bills, home appliance companies are now equipping their refrigerators' cooling mechanisms with R600a (Refrigerant) gas. This can cut down your electricity bills by 50%. This gas has been in use in first world countries for a very long time. Its use has been steadily spreading around the world. Some brands have introduced this gas in Bangladesh as well. But older model refrigerators use R134a gas. This increases not only electricity bill, but also causes damage to the environment. So R134a gas will be banned under the Ozone Layer Protection Act in the near future. A lot of countries are also going to stop producing the gas because of the aforementioned reasons. So this gas will become unavailable within a few years. So you might face servicing problems with your fridge if you don't buy one equipped with R600a gas.
