NSU Cybernauts Day 2: GAME ON
NSU Cybernauts Day 2
On day 2, two exciting competitions were held. Spectators and gamers thronged the recreation hall of NSU, where the gamers' swarmed in with much excitement. The most exciting part was probably the engineering project showcases. The runners up of the contest were DU Triquetra from University of Dhaka and Team Spark from NSU. The winner was Team Infinity from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology who created a rescue bot. Definitely praise worthy!1
The busiest, as expected, was the section of Cyber Athletics. Out of the 7 games, FIFA happened to be the most engaged. Gamers armed with their gaming rigs, sponsored by UCC, contented each other day long. The organisers of this event from North South University's Computer Engineering Club were quite engrossed during 10am to 6pm, making sure everything commenced well. 3 lakh's worth prize money and gifts, including HD AMD graphic card computers and monitors, Huawei tablets, PCs, 3G modem routers, and power banks, were distributed among the deserving winners. A whopping 2000+ teams and players register for the gaming competition here at the Cybernauts this year.
The National Programming contest began at 11am, resulting in the tensed silence in the library building. 119 teams registered, each containing average 3 members. This called for the programmers who enjoyed solving problems as they had to answer 10 questions. They were no easy ones, of course, as they were allocated 5 hours. The judges provided marks based upon the time taken and amount of solved questions following the ACMIPEC rules. However, negative marking was given for wrong answers. Students from many universities took part in the competition, most from NSU whilst many others from RUET, MIST, KUET, CUET, BUET, BRAC, and AUST. This battle's necessity was teamwork and that was present on the faces of the contestants. The champions were awarded 30,000 taka; the 2nd and 3rd places got 20,000 taka and 10,000 taka respectively. The 4th to 10th places each were rewarded 6,000 taka.
