In the last few hours, the internet and the social media have been swarming with posts about the much hyped apple event 'Hey Siri. ' If you are an Apple fan and missed the live broadcast of the event then you are in luck. Bytes have distilled the long presentation down to the top highlights. So here's everything you need to know about last night's announcements about the newest iPhone & iPad:
The Phones:
The market topper iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus got an upgrade. Though the upgraded iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus looks exactly the same as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The screen size (4.7-inch and 5.5-inch respectively) and the dimension as a whole remained unchanged. The display has an massive upgrade though: now Apple switched to a stronger ion-strengthened glass. In addition to that, the display comes with a brand new technology called 3D Touch. 3D Touch, which is really similar to the force touch of recently unveiled Huawei's flagship, Apple's patented Multi-Touch and pressure-sensitive Force Touch technology. This technology enables a user to access some in-app options without actually entering the app itself. This includes: text messages, flight information, calendar appointments and more. Oh did we forget to mention: Apple is bringing the phones in four colors. From a focus group study, Apple came up with a new color called Rose Gold. It's nothing but a fancy new name of the color pink. Under the hood, the new Apple phones are running 64-bit Apple A9 chip and embedded M9 motion coprocessor which according to Apple delivers up to 70% faster CPU performance and up to 90% faster graphics compared to the legacy A8 chip. The cameras of the new phones did get a massive bump too: 12-megapixel rear-facing iSight cameras with 4K video recording (3840x2160) and 5-megapixel front-facing FaceTime cameras with display-based Retina Flash.

The announcement of all new iPad Pro was probably the most exciting one during the event. The new device is a 12.9-inch tablet with a resolution of 2732x2048 at 264 PPI. Meaning it has a whopping 5.6 million pixels -- more than any iOS device; even the MacBook Pro with Retina display. Moreover the display is fully laminated and comes with oleophobic and antireflective coatings. It has all-new 3rd gen 64-bit A9X chip. The usual refinements are still there including the multitouch, Siri, 8-megapixel iSight camera, Touch ID, Smart and Lightning connectors, dual microphones, 3.5mm headphone jack and Spotlight search.
For the first time ever, Apple introduced two totally different array of accessories for the iPad Pro: a Microsoft Surface-like Smart Keyboard and a Samsung-Note-inspired-stylus built using technology that can detect position, tilt and force called Apple Pencil. The Smart Cover connects magnetically to the iPad Pro's new three-dot Smart Connector. On the other hand, Apple Pencil can calculate angle and orientation to produce both, broad and shaded strokes.
