Shahjalal Islami Bank receives gold at 12th ICSB National Award-2024

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC won the gold award in the Islamic Banking category at the 12th ICSB National Award-2024, conferred by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB), in recognition of its excellence in corporate governance and its commitment to transparency and accountability in overall management.

Lutfey Siddiqui, special envoy on international affairs to the chief adviser, handed over the award to Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, managing director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on Monday, according to a press release.

Sk Bashir Uddin, commerce adviser, attended the programme as the chief guest.

Among others, Md Habibur Rahman, deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank; Md Sajjad Hossain Bhuiyan, chairman of the Financial Reporting Council; Hossain Sadat, president of ICSB; Md Saifuddin, commissioner of the Bangladesh Securities & Exchange Commission; Kalyani Santoshkumar, member of the Jury Board; MM Saiful Islam, deputy managing director; and Md Abul Bashar, company secretary, were also present.
