Quamruzzaman made CEO of ICAB

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has appointed Md Quamruzzaman as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

He assumed office on Sunday (July 12), according to a press release.

Prior to joining ICAB, he served the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Bangladesh Operations as the country head and chief executive officer.

Quamruzzaman brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in the banking and financial services sector.

He previously held senior leadership positions at Premier Bank PLC, Bank Alfalah Limited, Trust Bank Limited, Standard Chartered Bank, the Industrial Development Leasing Company of Bangladesh Limited (IDLC), and Arab Bangladesh Bank Limited.

He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in marketing from the University of Dhaka and an MBA in marketing from Royal Roads University in Canada.
